Frequently asked questions

When will my images be ready?

For a family, lifestyle, newborn, adoption, baptism or graduation photography session, you will see your images at the in-person viewing meeting, about 2 weeks after the session date.

Wedding images will be ready about 4-6 weeks after the wedding date.

Do you take headshots?

Yes, I love to take headshots! Let’s talk about what these will be used for, what you have in mind, ideas on what to wear, and we can come up with a date and plan.

How many images will be in my gallery?

For a typical photography session, there will be around 20-30 images in your gallery.

Each image is individually edited with love. All collections come with high resolution images, full download, reproduction and print rights for personal use.

For weddings, the happy couple can expect beautiful documentation of the celebration, depending on the bridal party size, the guest list, and length of festivities, typically resulting in a minimum of 50 images per hour of coverage.

How much do you charge?

The cost for a photography session is $500 which covers expertise, time, and creative work. This fee includes a set of professional proof prints of the best images from our session. You will also receive your choice of 3 individually-edited, full resolution digitals selected from the session gallery of 20-30 images. Ask about additional photography packages that include more digitals, the entire gallery, print products, and a la carte purchases.

Prices may vary for documentary portraiture and events photography. A cost for travel will be incurred for events outside of Alachua County.

Wedding celebration coverage begins at $3500 with a 50% deposit which reserves my services for that day (and the balance due by the wedding date).

Please send an email for a custom quote or to discuss a personal or business project, a special event or documentary need or to inquire about an hourly photography rate.

Rates are subject to change.

Why are print products included in the collections when I only want digitals?

The printed deliverables are included in my photography collections for several reasons. Firstly, clients are given beautiful hard copies to take home with them from our viewing meeting (about 2 weeks after the session appointment or around 4-6 weeks from the wedding date). This allows folks to look over all of the images with regard to enlargements, sizes, and print products to order.

Additionally, clients are able to see the superior high quality proof results produced by a professional print lab (versus poor quality image development done with a cheap online source or a 1-hour photo mart) and show them to family, friends, and parents.

My goal is to produce gorgeous photographs that you absolutely love and with that, professional quality print products, so that priceless memories are displayed, perused, and can be given to loved ones as treasured gifts. Heirlooms to treasure for generations to come! I'd personally rather have five amazing photographs adorning my home than 100 mediocre ones stored in my cell phone.

What is the next step?

Please contact me for your prospective photography session or event date so we can coordinate our schedules and calendars. A 50% deposit reserves my services and protects our time together on the specified date and time (with the remaining balance due by the session date appointment). The deposit is non-refundable yet can be credited to another date should weather or illness necessitate postponement.

Payment can be made with the Cash App or via Venmo (@katrinedunn), by sending a snail mail check, cash, or an online secure link via Square.

We will discuss clothing options, posing, and any special requests or questions you may have. Our phone consultation will take place 1-2 weeks prior to our appointment.

I’m so excited to photograph you!

I want to learn to take better pictures. Can you help me?

YES! Photography instruction is something I thoroughly enjoy. If you would like to know more about your camera and settings, I can teach you. In the Fundamentals of Photography course, you will learn how to get out of auto mode, how to better understand light and improve your composition, how to shoot in manual, and more.
